Our Affiliations

Our club has affliations with other organizations from time to time - always with an eye towards fulfilling our mandate to *"preserve and promote acoustic roots music throughout the South-Western Ontario region".*
	The IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association), headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, has many programs and services designed to assist bluegrass musicians and organizations in developing the bluegrass music genre. They range from providing assistance to needy individuals in time of crisis, developing professional standards for groups working within the bluegrass world, to developing educational tools to encourage young folks to become active in playing the music. Once such program, is the IBMA "Bluegrass in the Schools" DVD, which was developed in 2003, complete with teaching aids and course outlines, to get young people involved at an early age. The TVBMA has, to date, supplied over 400 schools in Ontario with copies of this material, at no charge to the schools. The TVBMA is proud to be an organizational member of the IBMA.
	We are proud to be a part of the the Sally Creek Music Festival. This organization is committed to holding Canada's Premiere Music Festival, beginning in July 2009. This years Festival is being held at the Dorchester Fair Grounds , Dorchester Ontario Canada and will run from July 1 - 4th 2010 (Click on the logo to view the website and see the full first-class lineup for this event) The 2010 Festival will feature such great acts as, J.D. Crowe & The New South, Don Rigsby & Midnight Call , The Claire Lynch Band ,The Charlie Sizemore Band ,and more great US acts , as well as a number of the top Canadian Bluegrass Bands This great new festival will set the bar in Canada....the TVBMA is proud to be a member of this team.
