What are the benefits of belonging to TVBMA ?
Since 2003 we have held weekly Jam sessions ( from Sept through to June ) which provides a great environment for beginner and experienced singers and musicians to join in our circle of friends and develop skills in an open relaxed manner . Whether you join in right away or sit back and play along , this provides a great way to learn traditional Bluegrass Music .
Listeners are welcome tooFrom time to time we bring in Skilled Musicians to instruct and share tips on helping you become a better player . Slow jams are exactly that , we slow things down , and this helps to develop your musical skills at an easier pace
As a member you will have access to our learning library, full of instructional materials and song books for most instruments . This library would individually cost thousands of dollars to go out and buy on your own.
From time to time our club is asked or volunteers to go out into the community and provide music for local events , nursing homes and other community orientated functions We have also , over the years , held some great concerts , with top notch Bluegrass Artists including , Rhonda Vincent and Rage , Michael Cleveland and Flame keeper , Cherryholmes Honi Deaton and Dream , Williams and Clark Expedition , (now know as the Expedition Show ) along with some great local and other Canadian bands
